Gt. Tetteh Abbeyquaye
Gt. Tetteh Abbeyquaye completed his O-Levels at GSTS in 1989 and continued at the Presec-Legon for his A-levels. He was a founding member of the GSTS Alumni Association of North America and was instrumental in reorganizing the GAA in 2016. Since then, he has served in several roles, including the 1st and 2nd Vice President of the GAA and now President of the Global Alumni Association.
Gt. Tetteh received his B.Sc. (Honors) Degree in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Birmingham in England and his Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Clark University, Worcester, Massachusetts. He then did postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). He is currently a tenured Chemistry and Adjunct Biology Professor at the Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester, Massachusetts. He attributes much of his life to the training and discipline he received at GSTS.
At GSTS, Tetteh was in Einstein Hall and a member of several societies, including the: School Choir, Photographic Society, Scripture Union, Drama Group, and Cadet Corp. He also held several positions at Einstein House, including House Secretary, Sanitary Monitor, and Cabin Monitor.
Gt. Abbeyquaye is also a film producer and Founder/Trustee of the Pilot Scholars Program, a non-profit organization that supports students in Ghana. Many of his family members are Giants, including his late brother Dr. Kojo P. Abbeyquaye, MD. Gt. Abbeyquaye lives with his wife Sylvia and three sons in Holden, MA, USA.
