About The Speaker

Gt. Koomson graduated from GSTS in 2007 and has been the GSTS Alumni Association Secretariat Administrator at the GSTS Campus since 2016. He is sometimes called “Our man on the ground,” Gt. Koomson has served as the bridge and liaison between the school, the alums, and the Association. His daily work at the Secretariat ranges from meeting with visiting alums, assisting with the supervision of alumni projects on campus, organizing GAA activities off and on-campus, weekly meetings with the headmaster, traveling with school teams, administering the Secretariat Office, and executing anything that the Executive Committee needs to be done. Gt. Koomson works from campus and has served under three GAA Presidents and two Headmasters. This experience uniquely puts him in the position to share some of his organizational insight gathered over the years with us. 

Before becoming the Secretariat Coordinator, Giant Koomson served in various capacities within the GSTS Alumni Association (Takoradi Chapter).  Alums are always urged to make the GAA Secretariat the first point of call when visiting GSTS. Giant Koomson would be happy to receive you. Giant Koomson holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) – Kumasi, Ghana. He lives in Takoradi with his wife and two children.
